What is the best washer/dryer brand?

Buying my first appliances, have no clue about what brands are best. What is the best washer/dryer brand?
Whirlpool appliances are the best.

I used to work for Whirlpool Factory Parts and Services in '99, and customers would call in for replacement parts.

They would always say I've had my washer/dryer/dishwasher, etc. since the '70s and have never had problems.

Imagine having appliances that will last practically 30 years! You'll get more than your money's worth!

If you want appliances that will LAST and do an excellent job of cleaning and drying clothes, then go with Whirlpool!

They are the best in washer and dryers! What is the best washer/dryer brand?
You should think about the style you want, now that there are new washers without the agitator in the center. I love my washer that is front loading, and my dryer sits above it. There are different sizes to choose from. I don't have the highest price version, but I found that doesn't matter. I like that bra's don't get stuck around the agitator, and my clothes get really clean when I use the recommended 2x laundry detergent. Consider also the warranty, service reputation of your dealer or ';who to call';.
I like Fisher and Paykel, and i am an appliance delivery man, i test all washers and dryers i install and Fisher and Paykel is definitely worth looking into, the washer spins at a very high rpm and your clothes will be barely damp when the come out and you really only need 25 - 30 mins in the dryer because of it...
1. MAYTAG

2. WHIRLPOOL

3. GENERAL ELECTRIC

4. AMAMA

5. ROPER

Good qualityand useful features at an affordable price. My advice is to not spend extra money for features you'll never use. Make it simple, and pay for only the features you need for your needs.
LG was rated the best by consumer reports. I just bought a front loading LG washer and dryer set. Went for the steam washer and it's great!

  • Is it possible to wash Louis vuitton bag in the washer?

Is there any chance of damage? Is it possible to wash Louis vuitton bag in the washer?
Most likely something would come off the bag. You would be more likely to get away with washing a fake LV bag then a real one! Authentic Louis vuitton bags are made by hand and are more delicate then people think. If nothing else your handle colors would be totally hideous. They would prob be almost black. I wouldnt risk it.Is it possible to wash Louis vuitton bag in the washer?
UMMMM NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You will ruin the bag. If its that dirty take a damp cloth and wipe it off. Or try to take it to a dry cleaners and see what they can do. OR go to ask.com and see whats the best way to clean a Louis Vuitton.
Get baby wipes - seriously! They are miracle on LV. You can also use magic erase -- but don't dcrub too hard.

If you go to The Purse Forum there's a section in the Louis Vuitton area that talks about cleaning LV.
Dont do it,what are you thinking? NO!, i think they have a cleaning kit you can buy in louis vuitton botiques.
    it would probably damage it.
go for it , there acutually durbable they were made to be washed hot water cold water whatever you like, btw im gay and looove fasion!
yes it WILL get ruined, especially if it is real. DO NOT DO IT! get it dry cleaned if needed
    Dont do that.
    I wouldn't risk it.
    Don't do that.

    Removing a stripped washer seat?

how do i removed a stripped washer seat from a pipeRemoving a stripped washer seat?
get the proper wrench%26gt; ask a better QuestionRemoving a stripped washer seat?
use a hex [allen] wrench that will fit the hole, [ thats how there installed] replace the seat, get them at a hardware,
They make a universal seat wrench that bevels to the correct size, give it a good wack before twisting.
Try multiple sizes of Allen wrenches until you have a good grip. First thing I would determine is if the faucet is worth this much work
Use an easy-out or a large flatblade screwdriver.

    High efficiency washer question?

We just purchased a new high efficiency washer dryer set. Is it normal for the washing machine to to fill with very little water? It only seems like it lets very little water in than tosses the clothes around for 50 min through the various cycles. You can not even really see a water level even through the wash cycle? It's a front loader. It also has that silver care option. Any thoughts? Is it only supposed to have very little water in it? I'm not getting any codes such as low water level.High efficiency washer question?
Your sales person should have known the product better to explain how great these machines are. You use less water and laundry detergent. You will see a huge saving on your water bill. It's best to use He(high efficiency laundry detergent,it is pricey but consentrated)The front loaders don't tear up your clothes either. You have taken a step in being green.Read your owners manual for more info or get on line to the company.High efficiency washer question?
Sounds fine, these washers use a lot less water because the clothes are tumbled back and forth instead of soaked.

My GE washer will not turn on?

I have a GE washer model GSLS1100, and it will not turn on. last time I used it it stopped in the middle of the final spin cycle and now it won't turn on. I have checked the plug and it works, so it has to be the washer. when I press the on/off button nothing happens, no lights come on nothing. I would like some other option before trying a repair man.My GE washer will not turn on?
I tried to find an answer for you but couldn't, good luck with that!My GE washer will not turn on?
If there are no lights that means that either you need to unplug the machine for 30 seconds and plug it back in. (That reboots the board) Or call 1800 GE CARES Usually Rebooting works. e-mail me if I can help you further. Good luck. GE Service tech
On G.E. washers ---check the safety lid switch -- if this is bad then you get nothing but water fill up.

Other things might be : water level control switch faulty , timer ,drive motor, wiring connections.

On the lid switch %26gt;%26gt; you could~~~ connect the 2 wires together and wirenut them to bypass the lid switch completely.

This will allow the tub to spin even if the lid is open, while in the spin cycle.
There is a switch that is triggered by the lid closing. When the lid is open, or if the switch is broken (so the machine thinks the lid is still open), the washer will refuse to spin.

For safety reasons, it is designed not to spin when the lid is open. So if the washer will fill up and rinse the clothes but refuse to spin, it is most likely that switch. A qualified repairman should be able to replace it for about $150 (New Jersey prices).

If you've disassembled the washer, replacing the switch isn't difficult. If you've never taken it apart and put it back together, it helps a lot to have hints from someone who has. I watched the repairman the first time it broke and I've been able to fix it myself since.

Here is a hint for my GE washer: You have to remove some of the plastic edging near the controls. This reveals some screws that you need to loosen in order to flip the control panel backwards. Then, underneath that, there are some latches; when released, you can flip the whole sheet metal cabinet forward, revealing things like the switch.

Of course, before replacing the switch, it helps to have a meter and some knowledge of electricity to test whether the switch is the culprit.
Look in the manual. Hope that helps.
well to make it easy on you. the switch went out on you. its the switch for the water level. mine has done it to many.

Once you get the agitator out of a Kemore washer, how do you get the part off that holds the drum in?

And will it take a special tool?Once you get the agitator out of a Kemore washer, how do you get the part off that holds the drum in?
I would ask why you would want to do that? As in if you have to ask....

They do have a special tool to remove the spanner nut off the drive block that holds down the basket. It is called a spanner wrench.

I have used a hammer and a small metal rod or hugely large screwdriver to drive off the nuts. But on real old ones that have never been off, I have had to cut or chisel them off and replace the nut and drive block. And sometimes that damages the basket.

I say good luck but get nervous giving advice when I don't know what you are trying to do or even the model age and type of washer. Kenmore doesn't tell me much.Once you get the agitator out of a Kemore washer, how do you get the part off that holds the drum in?
High explosives and a new washer. Do not try this in home.

Call any Sears store and their appliance dept can tell you exactly, go to their tech website, call any appliance repair shop, or do as instructed above.

Making repairs to older appliances is a waste of time and money. If you don't have one of their in home warranties forget it. Get a local reliable repairman or try the explosive or sledge hammer approach. They all accomplish the same results.

  • Anyone ever lose socks or other items in the washer/drier??

LOL I always have socks that mysteriously disappear and pretty soon I run out of matches for them! They never turn up, even months later.

Just wondered if anyone else has been visited by the sock monster. ;-)Anyone ever lose socks or other items in the washer/drier??
yes i have! i look and look and nothing!! maybe there's a portal when the washer/dryer is on??Anyone ever lose socks or other items in the washer/drier??
It happens to me once in a while. I try to keep track, but no-a-days I just where what I can find and buy new ones.......LOLZ
Non so far.... sounds cool that yours does..... LOL
Be careful, that monster, can move into other areas of your house, I used to complain about it, then it took over . I can`t find anything -it turned into a giant vortex.
All the time!! I must have had sock fairies everytime I washed clothes. I never usually found them but I know I put them in so I started pinning them together and now no more lost socks.
totally wierd how the get sucked out of the dryer isn't it.
I am not a fan of the sock monster but he lives in my laundry room. Amazing how many socks disappear. I have a basket of no match socks.
All the time. But mine turn up after I've thrown out the mate.
Yes, it seems they no longer want to be a pair. They go off on their own somewhere. They feel like a heel, but their soles are free Now on the other hand, hangers in your closet muitiply when you close the door. They like to Hang around with other hangers.I think they are attracted by what each is wearing.
At the present time I am quite certain we have at least a dozen or more socks, mostly small ones that fit four-year-old feet, helplessly trapped behind the washer drum ... and who knows how many others sucked into oblivion from the dryer.

My rather irreverent sister once said that as soon as we get to heaven we get all of our missing socks back.
    I just did today

All my socks are either black or grey or white so i rematch 'strange' socks

The consumption of a sock is a necessary part of a dryer's diet.
No. Anytime I've lost a sock, I find its mate a day later. I haven't been visited by the sock fairy.

Have maytag neptune washer, always shuts down at start of all three rinse cycles. what's up?

It could be a bad inlet valve and when the machine is calling for a cold water rinse the valve is not opening to fill the machine. The machine will just sit there until enough water fills the drum and if it is not filing nothing happens.

Try a warm water rinse and see if the hot water fills the machine.Have maytag neptune washer, always shuts down at start of all three rinse cycles. what's up?
Ours was doing the same thing. We had the repairman come out (thankfully it was still under warranty) and he tightend up a bracket that holds a switch that tells the washer that the door is closed. We have had no trouble since that was repaired.Have maytag neptune washer, always shuts down at start of all three rinse cycles. what's up?
get rid of it I've had one for years and I had nothing but problems. It stinks. There was a horrible odor because it does not rinse porperly. Also I always had problems with the panel. Insist that they fix it. I had them here at least once a month. I finally gave up and fought them legally and got no response.

    Burning smell from washer dryer?

Just bought a new washer dryer and tried it. It's got a really bad smell (like burning rubber or something) which I had to open the window wide. It was the same for the second wash (maybe a bit less smelly but still bad). Is it because it is new or something wrong?Burning smell from washer dryer?
soumds like it is the belt on one of them but it could be because they are knew but they should not smell.do another washing if it still smells call for a service call you have a warrenty.Burning smell from washer dryer?
    Check the belts

    Clean the lint trap

    Call a repairman
I would buy from a new store.Sounds to me like a slipping belt
Return it to the dealer and get a new one. Simple yet effective. Never keep an appliance that doesn't work from the start. It will cost you money down the road.
Either it is being broke in, or your belt is slipping creating friction giving you that smell. Sometimes the motor winding can give off a smell from being used for the first time.

Can i put my hockey shin pads in the washer?

The pads are attacted by velcro!!! Can i pull them off and wash them in the washer? Can i put my hockey shin pads in the washer?
Yes you can. I put mine in the washer. You just have to put it on delicate cycle and hang them to dry.Can i put my hockey shin pads in the washer?
no not if they have any plastic protecting
Yeah go ahead I don't mind
Not a good idea! Try fabreeze! or most hockey complexes have a equipment cleaner you put your stuff in, and for a few bucks it cleans for you. (Kinda like a dry cleaner).
Yes, you can, i recommend just the inserts though, do not put the actual pads. Its great and after a while when the inserts get old you can order new ones, but if you maintain them by cleaning them they last forever.
    i think you can

If you can't find it in the back of the vehicle when you raise your back hatch then more than likely it will be the washer reservoir under your hood. That is where mine is.I cant find my my tank for the back washer?
In all likely hood the back window washer uses the tank in the front located under the hood usually oh the drivers side. If you are having issues with the washer not functioning properly i.e. not squirting washer fluid your problem is most likely the line running from front to back....

What happens if you accidentally drop a oil bottle washer into the car's oil?

if it causes damage how much will it cost? What happens if you accidentally drop a oil bottle washer into the car's oil?
It really depends on the car as far as where it will be capable of travelling to depending on the location of oil filler. One thing is for sure however, if it manages to clog any ports within the engine it will destroy it. Take the valve cover off and remove it immediately while its still in one piece. Some valve covers have shields inside that will not allow it to make it anywhere but then some do not. What happens if you accidentally drop a oil bottle washer into the car's oil?
it will eventually melt and mix with the oil because it is petroleum based. it should not cause any major damage.
just take the pan off and get it out. it,s probably too big to go into the oil pan.

My husband left wet clothes and towels in the washer over night.?

I re-washed them all several times but there is this weird smell to them, I've tried different detergents, adding a little bleach and even all kinds of dryer sheets, is there any way to get the smell out or do I have to buy all new clothes and towels???My husband left wet clothes and towels in the washer over night.?
I use to work Wardrobe at a Regional Theatre and picked up all sorts of nifty little tricks.

For fresh smelling laundry, try soaking (and then washing) your clothes in Castille Soap. This all-natural product is available at most health food stores and comes in a variety of scents including peppermint and lavender. This gentle detergent is safe for even your most delicate fabrics.

If you have any lingering odor, try spritzing the clothes down with vodka. That's right, I said it- VODKA!

The cheaper the brand, the better the result.

In fact, it is a little known fact that dry cleaning _sets_ odor.

Purchasing a cheap spray bottle, filling it with the vodka and liberally spritzing the armpits of your garments will insure you do not inadvertantly ';set in'; unpleasant smells.

As in any home remedy involving fabrics, always test the colorfast-ness of your item by trying the ';cure'; on an inconspicuous place.

Good luck!My husband left wet clothes and towels in the washer over night.?
I would wash it, dry it, then wash it again and dry it. The reason behind this is, if the smell is from bacteria growth, the extreme heat from dryer will kill them. If that doesn't work, then you may be out of luck.
They were only left in the washer overnight? There shouldn't be any sort of lasting smell, then, so that's a little weird.

Anyways, if you live somewhere where you have a place to hang our clothes outside, I would highly recommenced that. They could use a little bit of airing out, as well as the fresh air. After that, if they still smell, you could wash them again, then hang them outside once more.
What you're smelling is mildew. I'd go buy new ones.
Use baking soda or white vinegar in the wash water along with your detergent.
Ad some Febreeze to the wash. Or Vinager about 1 cup. Vinager works wonders. If your out of frabic softner it can also help soften your clothes.
Try adding a cup or two of white vinegar to the wash, and liquid fabric softner in the rinse. Hang the clothes in the sun to dry, if you can, or dry them in the dryer and then hang them in the sun. Sunshine and fresh air do wonders for eliminating sour odor from fabric.
Baking soda is the best thing i've found for this. Half a cup to a cup, put it in before the clothes, while the water is running and let it dissolve before you put the clothes in, or it might cake on to the fabric.

Run the load again, I do this with cold water, but i dont know if it makes a difference. Sometimes i do notice a bit of the smell again when i'm taking the clothes out, but after the dryer they are fine. I think the smell might be in the washer.
You might need a new washer and dryer.

    SEARS

If anything happens, you can return them. Period.
Oh my God! I can't believe how many people suggested Sears! I wouldn't buy one there for sure! If you ever have a problem with one, you'll find that Sears right hand doesn't know what it's left hand is doing! I would go to Best Buy, or Home Depot. Or if you must, to Lowes, but I hate Lowes too.

If you have a Best Buy in your area, try them. Every time we have needed an appliance, Best Buy has always beaten Sears in price. Also, if you buy from them and then find that same model cheaper somewhere else, they will refund you the difference plus 10%. Can't beat that!

Is it safe to wash an article of clothing that is supposed to be dry cleaned in a regular washer?

It depends on what it is. My experience with wools, for instance, has been that if you use lukewarm or cold water, low speed spin (or take it out before the spin and towel blot it) and then carefully lay it out flat, shaping as you go- it does OK. (When it's nearly dry, you'll need to take a pressing cloth and iron it carefully to help it hold it's shape and get rid of wrinkles. Don't move the iron back and forth but up and down- pressing it for about 10 sec at a time- wools are the hardest and it's easier to just let the pros do them!) Most things, I have either machine or hand-washed... but I always expect it to maybe not work! It's a risk! Also, it may never again look quite as nice... The only things that I'v tried to wash that were complete failures are acetates... Oh yeah, and if there are pleats involved (like all the way down a skirt, all the way around, for instance... don't even go there... let the cleaners do it. You will NEVER get them back in satisfactorily!)

You could try a ';Heloise Hints'; site... I'll get a url for you...OK- couldn't find what I was looking for. The thing is, I live in Eastern Eur where we can't always find a dry-cleaner, so I've learned to wash everything, but carefully. I use delicate soap (like someone above mentioned- Woolite, for example), often hand wash, for sure the delicate cycle if in the washer. Be careful about wringing things out (better not to). You can use a tub full of water- that makes it easier. If you're really concerned about something, if it's expensive, better stick to the label directions if at all possible! Good luck!Is it safe to wash an article of clothing that is supposed to be dry cleaned in a regular washer?
It will damage the article of clothing. Some pieces may be hand washed in Woolite, depending on the material. Is it safe to wash an article of clothing that is supposed to be dry cleaned in a regular washer?
No, it is not safe to wash an article that is labeled 'dry clean only.' That is why it is labeled so.
13 years personal exp as a Dry Cleaner

    38-year family

Depending what the article is, you should really consider hand washing rather the putting in the machine. Best bet is to dry clean in. The care label in clothing is put there by the manufacture as the safest method. That does not mean that it is the only way. Ex. If you bring a Dry Clean only item to the cleaners and the items bleeds, shrinks, melts ect. You are able to return the item to place of purchase for a refund, or exchange. Not many people know this or many cleaner don’t know how to explain this. Hence the saying” Cleaners ruined my blouse”. If that label is followed and something happens to it, the manufactures are to blame not the cleaners. If you do it at home the retailer may ask for a letter from your cleaner stating that they cleaned the garment as per the care label and this was the result. Keep in mind what you are going to wash at home. Have posted other replies to question regarding finishing the garment (Pressing). Cleaning may be the easy part but once cleaned now you have to finish it (Press or Iron). Take a look. If you have a question drop me an email. Good luck

    Dominick
Depends on the article. Woolen knitwear - definitely not.

Long time ago a friends house was flooded when the river rose 30 feet overnight. We lived on a hill and were not affected (Never buy a house on a flood plain.) They had to run away and left many clothes behind. When the flood went down all the dry cleaners in the city were backed up for a month of Sundays. My mother put several mens' suits (which were still wet) through a front loading washing machine, including the jackets with ordinary washing powder. They came out OK but needed expert pressing. They were ruined otherwise so nothing would have been lost.

If your stuff is not ruined otherwise I'd take it to a dry cleaner. Or hand wash, squeeze gently etc. The lady from Eastern Europe and the dry cleaner have good answers.

No, they become orphan socks and I believe a few of them may be living in my orphan sock basket!
I believe they do. I saw some aliens on the front of a magazine at the grocery store wearing some of my old ones.

Everything tied directly into a sewage line needs a trap to prevent sewage gases from coming up through the drain. A washing Machine is no exceptionLaundry room smells - should the washer drain have a trap?
    Dear Salami,

Get the trap on that drain YESTERDAY!

Methane gas from the septic system is not only deadly, but, in higher concentrations, explosive!

My wife and I moved into our new apartment after it had just been renovated (badly). Even though we were feeling a little ';under the whether';,we had our entire family over for Thanksgiving to celebrate soon afterward. That day, the overwhelming majority felt strangely ill , and it was BEFORE they ate our cooking! When I found out that they started feeling better soon after leaving our new place, I was then sure it was our environment.

After playing detective in our cellar, I discovered, like you did, that there was no trap on the laundry drain. I ran down to the hardware store and bought an ';S-trap';. I was able to install it in less than 15 minutes.

We began feeling better in a matter of hours. We learned a BIG lesson that day.

    Install That Trap!,

    -Jim-
Pumping your septic system alone isn't enough. You need a septic bacteria like Biospan to fully clean your system, and keep it from failing. www.drsenviro.com has the best formulas, and they offer free shipping also. DRS Environmental is the only supplier of Biospan I think. I ordered from them and it really helped my septic system, with the smell, and water in the yard.
    Every fixture must be trapped.

    Every trap must be vented.
Yes, every fixture should have a trap.

  • Need help with my asko washer w660. It doesn't finish the wash and goes to water outlet failure. ?

What happens if I can't pull out the plastic in front of the water pump? It seems to be stuck.

Hve been unable to find a repairman for my machine.Need help with my asko washer w660. It doesn't finish the wash and goes to water outlet failure. ?
Dont mess with the plastic on the pump.. Either the pump is bad and needs to be replaced or you have a kink in your drain line which will cause that failure too.

    Pressure Washers. Gas or electric?

I'm shopping for a power washer and I need some advice on which kind to choose. Can anyone tell me pros %26amp; cons of gas vs. electric?

I'll be using it for keeping the siding on my house clean, washing my car, sidewalks and deck.Pressure Washers. Gas or electric?
I agree with Terry; there is a lot more to maintaining a gas pressure washer, not to mention the initial cost (much more expensive). For around 100 dollars you can buy an electric unit that will do all the tasks you mentioned.Pressure Washers. Gas or electric?
I prefer electric. Because mine sets for awhile. With a gas pressure washer the gas will go stale. Plus just more maintenance.
I have a little electic one that does just fine for around the house jobs. Do be careful with the settings though, even the small ones can strip the paint off your car or ruin your siding.

top load and cheaper too. Although you save water with a front load. What is the most reliable washer and dryer? Front load or top load?
I have a kenmore elite top loader washer. I haven't had any problems except sometimes it will say its unleveled when clothes are washing. I like top load better because they ring out the water from clothes better and i think wash better. my friend has a front loader and sometimes the clothes feel soaked and stink and don't come out as clean.

Christians what do you think about Paul Washers shocking Message?

    Witness4JC,

    I have seen this teaching.

Paul Washer is a great preacher and any born again believer should turn off their televisions, put down their idols and make the time to watch his message. He reminds me of Paul in the Bible and what I imagine his preaching would have been like to witness first hand.

If you like Paul Washer, you'll like his pastor Jeff Noblit's preaching...

http://www.anchoredintruth.org/resources…Christians what do you think about Paul Washers shocking Message?
God always gives a way out. He has designed the universe so that his Sons will return to Him. To do otherwise would not be what a father does. So an eternity in hell is an illusion.

But the idea that we are saved by saying some words is also an illusion, so he is right on that account. We are saved because we are Sons of God and that will never change.

We will all go through the narrow gate, but it is a matter of time. He is not talking to dead men as he starts off his talk. When we see ourselves as dead, we cannot see ourselves as God's eternal children. It isn't fear of hell that brings people to love and peace, it's love of each other and gratitude for the chance to love.Christians what do you think about Paul Washers shocking Message?
I watched all of the 58:58 minutes. If all who claimed to be Christians in the USA were really Christians, this would be a different country.

I am going to go back to the site and watch some of the shorter videos, like Joel Osteen vs Paul Washer.
At My Home PC all I have is a Dail up Modem, It would take days to download it for me to watch,

I will have to wait till I get to work and watch it from the workplace PC or at least download it to a flash drive and bring it home, I'll let ya know then.
I'm not Christian, I didn't watch the video, but I skimmed this site: http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Wolves/pa…

He sounds like a typical meglomaniac preacher who's full of himself.
THERE IS NOTHING SHOCKING IN THE TRUTH. MOST THAT PROFESS TO BE CHRISTIAN DOES NOT KNOW GOD AND HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. FAITH, REPENTENCE ARE THE KEY TO SALVATION. READ JOHN CHAPTER 3.
Totally dumbed down for special American christians.
Love it and Love him and his message. He is a true christian from what I can see.
Sorry but that video is 58 minutes long. Don't have the time to watch it! Blessings!
You think we're going to sit here and watch something an hour long? Why not try to summarize what he said and ask.
I don't know who he is. The bible teaches about fanatics, so I don't want to know.
I don't know who this guy is,but I think NewlyBorn gave a really good answer.
I think that he is all wet...!

    Very dishonest, indeed...

According to the Bible writers, ONE SUREST SIGN of Jesus coming back and the Rapture™ is the slaughter of innocent children in the end of days! Practically all the Clergy and Preachers explain away this gross fact in the Bible… The Bible writers made it into a pattern that before any major event in Bible stories innocent children get slaughtered right and left! This is a primitive trick to scare the heck out of religious people into catching their attention! They wrote that when Israel was liberated from Egypt (there is not a trace of historical evidence that the Jews were slaves in Egypt!) God had ALL the innocent first born children of Egyptian parents slaughtered on the spot without any mercy! When Jesus was born in Judea ALL the innocent male children 2 years of age and under got slaughtered in a way that not even God the Holy Ghost was able to comfort the grieving mothers! It was a massacre of humongous proportions unlike Hitler’s holocausting the Jews! (Mat 2:18) So it will be when Jesus comes back a lot of the wrong Churches will loose ALL their CHILDREN… The Jewish Messiah Jesus will have them slaughtered not in Iraq, but in the Churches! Christians are brainwashed into believing that Jesus doesn’t do that! As far as sadistic religions go not even Islam can match Christianity! It is all in the Bible! Now Christianity survives picking on new “sins” like abortion, equal sex marriages, stem cell research and so on. Even the newly elect President Obama honors the Most Reverend Pastor Dick Warren damning gays, equal sex marriage and so on! In fact, soon the Clergy will visit Obama to force him to comply with their whims, or else he won’t be re-elected!

Revelation 2:23 (NIV) (Jesus says in his apocalyptic REVELATION NOW for the last days) “I WILL STRIKE HER CHILDREN DEAD”* (*Abortionists deal only with the fetus when necessary so they can’t beat Jesus at killing babies! Jesus is doing the killing of the innocent children to announce his expected return and at the same time teach everybody a lesson on WHO IS THE BOSS! In our society today Christians are very selective in what they preach and believe from the Bible! Their political “PRO-LIFE” stand is only an attempt to dissociate from this kind of Jesus’ REVELATION…!) Then ALL THE CHURCHES WILL KNOW* (*Bully Mafia talk) that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

I’m the BOSS says Jesus Christ the LORD and I take it on the kids in the Churches! This make believe Bible Jesus is promoting the killing of children of the wrong Christian brand to set an EXAMPLE! All Christian brands claim to be “the true one!” Jesus infanticide mania comes from way back when the Jewish Bible writers had God the Father highly favoring anyone killing the innocent children of his enemies!

Psalm 137:8-9 (NIV) O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is he who repays you for what you have done to us* (*Israel) --he who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.

That is why even Jesus Christ knows that the enemies of TRUE Christianity (whatever that is) ought to be killed in their infancy when it is easier to get rid of them! In Bible times hardly anybody practiced abortions because it was easier and much safer to “dash the infants against the rocks” after they are born than having them aborted like the Bible writers suggest and the infallible King James Version of the Bible confirms! Unwanted children were put out without any accountability to anybody right after they were born like it was done in Egypt to the willing Hebrew ladies. Christianity is not much of a civilized religion at all! The preachers will tell you that God’s behavior with the Jews was uncivilized because the heart of the Jews was like a stone hard, and so on… We are much more civilized so we go by the “grace of God”…!

Luke 19:27 (NIV) (Jesus is very excited telling this story… most Christians prefer to ignore, although the Christian Clergy loves it!) But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them–bring them here and kill them in front of me.

I'm telling you what the HOLY BIBLE writers say...!!! ESPECIALLY IN THE NEW TESTAMENT… that is strongly believed in Christianity today...!!!!

The Bible writers made Christianity into a very violent religion. “Turning the other cheek” is a joke! They have Jesus suggesting the slaughter by drowning of anybody causing a Christian who is a moron in the Faith to stumble (Mat 18:6)… The shedding of body parts to make it into the Fairy Kingdom of Heaven! (Mat 5:29-30), INCLUDING male castration (Mat 19:12). The carving out of the female clitoris today is still widely done by the local butchers and practiced almost exclusively in Islam! Christian ladies in America are very lucky! BTW virginity and male castration is forbidden in God’s Law “Be fruitful and multiply,” but what the heck! Nunnery stuff is a Heathen sourced idea of the Early Church Fathers. Most Christians today don’t pay attention to Jesus’ gory suggestions, but throughout history many Christians got castrated for the “Kingdom Sake.” See Wikipedia “castration”. Christians are very gullible and willing to do anything that their preachers tell them. Christianity survives today only because it is disregarding most of the most primitive and uncivilized pronouncements of the Early Church Fathers. Now the Clergy promote the be good, get well, get rich quick, pay your tithes and offerings on time and when you die you go to Heaven to be with Jesus! In fact, Christians are promised that at the moment that they will see Jesus they will be transformed to be like HIM!!! Like this children killing JESUS! Please give me a break!

Washer Fridgedaire cold water is not working?

So far I've switch cold and hot water hoses and they seem to be working fine for hot selection only. The cold water is not working only if I switch the hose. I can't tell if it's the inlet take valve or the solenoid that switches over from hot to warm to cold. Any help will be appreciatedWasher Fridgedaire cold water is not working?
iTS PROBABLY the mixing valve...most oh them are blue and they are easy to get too.....try spraying some silicone in it as you work the selector switch...good luck.....ps take the hose loose on the col water side of washer and spray it inWasher Fridgedaire cold water is not working?
Yes, likely the mixing valve. But depending on the model some washers have a selector switch and some have temperature sensors that also control the valve. I'm not sure on Frigidaire and you didn't give your model.

Also the timer controls the valve too since it must have different temps for wash and rinse cycles.

Make sure the screen in the valve isn't just plugged up.

    Good Luck.
Before checking anything else, disconnect the cold water hose from the washer. There should be a small screen filter on that connection. Replace or clean it and reconnect the hose. Sometimes this little filter gets clogged and doesn't allow the cold water into the machine.

Can you wash leather tennis shoes in the washer?

They are black and my son's only pair ,so I'm scared to mess them up.Can you wash leather tennis shoes in the washer?
YES YOU CAN! I do it all the time, its okay. Put them on gentle though so they wont crack! You can also put them in a pillow case to protect them. Just tie it up! Hope this helps, good luck! Be blessed!!!!!Can you wash leather tennis shoes in the washer?
No, I wouldn't wash leather tennis shoes in the washer. They're going to start cracking if you do.

Mild soap and water should clean them off nicely. After wards, polish them with a nice paste. Then buff them to a shine.

For the odor inside, spray a little Febreeze in them and let them dry before your son wears them. They'll be good as new!
Usually there is a tag on the shoes that let you know if you can. Otherwise, why not go the the manufacturer's website and see. Or send them an email and ask.
so can wash them by using a toothbrush and a common day soap mixed with a little bit of shampoo. Srcub the outside. For the inside , wash with bleach and let it dry under the sun for a day or so. Then wax the leather for that brand new shine

If cars were that easy to fix there would be no technicians in this world. Sounds like an electrical problem. I'd take it to a reputable repair facility and pay to have it checked out.
It sounds like you have a short in your main fuse block{located on the left kick panel} When you turn your key off, this should cut power to the fuses controlling the items you mentioned. Check your fuse block by pulling the fuses one at a time, after you pull the fuse, look at the contacts in the fuse block to see if the plastic has gotten hot and melted. Check it quick, this problem could cause a fire Good luck

How long can laundry stay wet in a washer before you should rewash?

I would not let it sit for anymore than 6 hours. If you do, it will start to mildew. How long can laundry stay wet in a washer before you should rewash?
Until it smells - I would say about a day. If your laundry room is cold, you may get away with 2 days. How long can laundry stay wet in a washer before you should rewash?
You would be able to tell by how the laundry smells if you need to do a re-wash. It hits you when you open the lid.
It depends on the weather. In summertime when its hot it cant stay long at all before it starts to smell and needs to be rewashed. Then good luck getting the musky smell out. (Vinager added to wash cycle helps). Wintertime clothes can stay longer.
it wouldnt be that long. when the clothes start to dry out a bit and they are kind of damp, thats when they start to smell of damp, so i think maybe a day. not even that. its the smell of damp that makes u have to wash them again!
About 18 hours max., beyond that it starts to smell sour. I also suggest that if you do have to re-wash the clothes, add some baking soda to the washer to help make the sour smell disappear.
sometimes mine can stay a couple of days before they start to dry and get damp i put in the dryer and they are ok so anyone who said a day is full of bologne.

Can a person get arrested for leaving a washer outside for pick-up?

Ok - really weird scenario, but here it goes. I had a washer installed the other day, and the installer left it outside for his partner to pick it up. Somehow, it ended up on my neighbor's lawn and they called the cops. I know that he was going to come back and pick it up, but now the police are involved and want to speak with the young man. I don't want him to get in trouble for something he didn't do neglectfully. How can I help? Can a person get arrested for leaving a washer outside for pick-up?
No.Can a person get arrested for leaving a washer outside for pick-up?
It's probably just a follow-up as to why the officer wants to speak to the installer. When a report is filed and information is lackcing, the officer has a duty to fill in any un-answered questions, so I would go ahead and give them the guys name so they can verify what you told them and get the crabby nieghbor off your back.
The police just want to talk to the guy. Who said that he would be arrested?

It's not your responsibility any more. What gives you the assurance that ';I know that he was going to come back and pick it up';?

Tell you what. I will come to your neighbor and move the old washer back on your lawn, so that the neighbor is OK. We will put it in your garage or somewhere out of sight on your property. It will then become YOUR responsibility to ensure that the thing gets hauled away, by his partner or someone else that you hire. Since you KNOW he's coming back, that should make everything all better, right?
that's just ridiculous. no reason for your neighbor to be such an a hole. sheesh. just explain to the police that it was a mistake, they were coming right back, they didn't realize the property line was right there. apologize to the police that your neighbor is such an a hole and that they wasted their valuable time messing around with a washing machine of all things.
call the company you got the washer from , tell them what happened and let them deal with it
If anything someone might get a citation.
I don't think he'll get into trouble. Life happens, right?? maybe something came up, and he forgot. Did he leave a phone #? Call him.

I'm looking to buy a home. The home has 80 amp service. Is this enuff amps to run a gas dryer + washer?

Is this just about the minimum you need to not blow a fuse? Or do we need to have an electrician add more amps? The home is brand new.I'm looking to buy a home. The home has 80 amp service. Is this enuff amps to run a gas dryer + washer?
NO, I have a small house and it was upgraded to 100 amp service. I would think you would at least want a100 or even maybe 120 amp service... I don't see how this could be an actual new home, they would put more than an 80 amp service in a brand new home..

I just want to add that I noticed you said Gas dryer, and there is nothing wrong with the 80 amp service for a gas dryer, if it were electric that would be a different story. Still, think you need over 100 amp. Another thing is they never use fuses anymore in new houses..Is there something you are not telling us????I'm looking to buy a home. The home has 80 amp service. Is this enuff amps to run a gas dryer + washer?
This is a brand new home in the USA?

Good luck finding any kind of meter base if it happens to fail.

100 amp should be the minimum
A gas dryer does not need to use high amperage drawing heat elements. Combined the should not pull any more that 30 amps although each would most lokely be on 20 amp breakers. An 80 amp service is low. You must not have a water heat that runs on electricity, or stove on heat elements, or an air conditioning unit!
80 amps for a small house that is designed energy efficient is do-able.I used a 5000watt/20amp/110/220vac generator for my power needs.A gas drier is going to be OK.The back of the appliance will have a tag that says what it needs.I'm thinking a pair of 20amp circuit breakers is what you'll need for the 2.That leaves you with 40amps.is the water heater/stove/oven gas? Then fridge, lites %26amp; TV.Just dont go over 80amps total
Yes, but I would bet you have a 100 amp service minimum. What state are you in .
It's strange that a new house would have only 80 amps. I'd be shooting for 200 amps in anticipation there may be an increase in demand. I'd get at least 100. Eighty amps are usually associated with old houses -- low-end 1950s houses.

Eighty amps, however, may be enough for the dryer, the big consumer of power. What about a stove-oven -- another big power user, if it's electric.

Electric dryers should really be wired separately on a dedicated line. Check the manual, but it usually needs at least 20 amp-circuit breaker -- sometimes up to 40, depending on the stove.

You used the term fuses, an indicator of vintage electrical systems. You probably mean circuit breakers.
Although the last poster is correct in stating that 80 amps is very low and really this is an unlikely number for a new home what you really need to be asking about is the specific circuit the washer/dryer is on.

The current code for California requires a dedicated 20 amp circuit for the washer and a dedicated 20 amp circuit for the dryer. Both of these of course being on 12 guage wire.

If this is a new home what you may be looking at is an 80 amp SUB panel. But either way, ID which individual circuits control the washer/dryer and see if they are 20 amps each on 12 guage wire. If not, then you may have a potential fire hazard.

    Good Luck
Since the home is brand new the county or city electrical inspector should have done his/her job and approved the electrical. Look for a ';sticker'; on the outside of the new electrical 'box' and call them. The new home should NOT havae fuses at all. Circuit breakers should havea been used.

I question if you only have 80 amp service.
all the homes now a days need 100amp service to run at an easy pace,it all depends how your lifestyle is eg.leaving lights on ,leaving other electric utilities on when not needed you could possibly get by with 80 , 100 is better if its a farm 200 speak to a qualified electrician they can guide you better

Does anybody know what might cause a washer to start tearing clothes?

It got mad!Does anybody know what might cause a washer to start tearing clothes?
Check for nicks on the plastic agitator. If you washed something that hit the plasatic it could have left a burr on the agi causing it to tear clothes.Does anybody know what might cause a washer to start tearing clothes?
char might have a point, but it is much more common for the dryer to be the culprit. Take a look-see.
Either some really old clothes, some really nasty hard water or something sharp in the wash tub.
    Improper operation or maintenance
Your washing machine rotating drum is damaged or you are mixing your clothes with other types of material. My suggestion is to get netting which is used for separating different types of material and put for same washing.
If the load is too full, clothes may get caught in the agitator, which can cause rips and tears in your clothes. Damage can also be caused by chemicals. Make sure you wash delicates on the delicate cycle. You can also prevents snags by turning clothing with metal trim or fasteners inside out while washing them.

I don't know if there is such a thing as a table top washer and dryer, but, if there is where can I get it? I live in Chicago, but if the product is out of state I will pay shipping if it is available. The dryer has to be electric (not gas) and the washer has to have a rinse cycle with the ability to be hooked up to any faucet. Let me know if there is such a thing. I have seen them in lowes stores, have not seen a dry, just washer
    Hi.

For a lot of different reasons these are hard to make.

There are form factors for ';table top appliances';. One is 20'; and one is 24';. I think there is a smaller one also...15';.

Various environmental and safety regulations are real hard to accomplish in something smaller than 15';. Bear in mind that your waste water is not hygienic and that you are mixing water with a lot of electricity in one small unit.

In Japan, it is considered EXTREMELY unhygienic to wash your underwear in the main wash. They have special little machines that go into bathrooms where people wash their underwear after use. They then wash them again in the main weekly wash.

Various other Asian countries have copies of the Japanese machines. Sometimes you can get these because if you import a very small quantity you do not get hit with a lot of regulations.

Many of these machines are pretty crud though. In poorer Asia the retailer sorts out a lot of finishing problems with appliances.

    Try here:

    http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadis鈥?/a>

Also, go to Alibaba, the Internet directory for manufacturers and search their for some of the Asian designs. Make contact with the manufacturer and ask them how you can get product.

If you buy one of the Asian machines, make sure you have a friendly plumber willing to sort out small leaks for you.
I know where u can by a lap top and a fryer, but i live in Australia.
I don't know about a table top one, but they do have washers and dryers made for apartments. Try websites of stores that sell appliances.

from experience i would not buy one of theese things , they use bags of electricity they take forever to completete a cycle and they go wrong for a pastime . had one it just kept breaking down the engineer just said its the most common thing they are called out for and when they go wrong they are rather expensive to fix , he said because they do both there is more to go wrong with them .I'm intrested in getting a washer/dryer combo... dose anyone have one, is it any good?
I don't have one any longer since I moved into a house, however, when I owned my condo I had a Maytag. Things may have changed some since Maytag has been absorbed by Whirlpool- interesting to share- when I purchased my Maytag I was replacing a Whirlpool model. The major difference was that the Maytag stackable unit was full size for both dryer and washer and still fit into my closet nicely. The Whirlpool did not have a full-size washer tub and was very easy to overfill and cause problems. One comment I will make is that when I purchased my unit (had to have stackable because of the condo setup) it was much more expensive than buying separate washer and dryer units. That is something you may want to consider.
I have a compact Whirlpool combo unit with a gas dryer; it's okay. Most of all I wish it were bigger so I could do slightly larger loads and wouldn't have to take some things to a laundromat.

I've read that some can't wash and dry at the same time; that's a key feature if you ever do multiple loads, so make sure you know whether yours can.

It's not energy-saving or water-saving, and there's no option to turn off the buzzer, which is super-loud in a small space. (That's not combo-specific, of course.)

I mostly line-dry now, so for limited money I'd rather have a fancier washer and live without a dryer for a while. Alas, I have limited space, so not much choice.
I've thought about getting one too except I'm worried that if something were to go wrong with one of the componenets, both of the components would be shot since they probably run off the same wiring.

Water coming from under my clothes washer?

We just bought a house and this morning I was washing clothes and water came from under the washer. Doesn't make any weird noises, runs just fine. I have never dealt with this before.Water coming from under my clothes washer?
could be the feedhose from wall leaking or your seals in the washer pump. also the waste line. you should call a plumber if you've never dealt with this before. good luck :-Water coming from under my clothes washer?
    |You will need to take a panel off to look inside to see where it is coming from. There are many places where they can leak from. A hose could be bad or you could have a rust hole in the tub. The spin shaft seal may also be leaking. On some washers, unless you have knowledge of how to do it you may need to get the repairman out to take it apart. You just said your washer, you did not mention who manufactured it. On some the front comes off with two screws. Some you gain access from the rear, on others the whole outer cabinet is liffed off. The Maytag I would say would be the easiest. Just two screws on the botom of the front panel, flush mounted at the bevel at the bottom.
first check the hoses are tight and not leaking, If its an older GE model, the tub boot may be leaking, they had a tendancy to do that, there may be something caught in the pump as well that can cause it to crack and drip, pantyhose are common culprits. If its less than 5 years old its worth spending the 100 bucks to have a repairman come, if its older than that, you would be better off to buy a new one. A maytag is great and will be the last one you ever buy
i would check the hoses in the back that runs into the wall and connects to the washer they may be loose on need to be replaced, if those seem to be correctly installed the tub in the washer may have a whole in it but i would bet on what i said first being the problem....good luck

  • GE Washer WSSH300GWW Recommendations?

I am looking to buy a GE washing machine, model WSSH300GWW. Would you recommend it? It's a nicely priced unit, and I know GE has a decent record of reliability, but I have not been able to find info specific to this model.GE Washer WSSH300GWW Recommendations?
Log into Consumer Reports. Unless the reputation has changed in last last few years, their reputation was not the best.GE Washer WSSH300GWW Recommendations?
There are a bunch of reviews on Home Depot's website about this particular machine. Others that have bought it seem to be pretty happy with it. I too am looking at buying this particular one.
GE's are excellent products, but pretty expensive. Once the warranty is expired you're boned. Price to replace parts and repair is ridiculous. Google some review sites and see what others have to say about the product you want.

Why do I get Bleach spots on some clothes when I don't use bleach in my front load washer?

I don't thing the load is overloaded. Why do I get Bleach spots on some clothes when I don't use bleach in my front load washer?
There could be some bleach on a surface nearby. I would recommend not putting the bottle on any surface you put clothing on, and always wiping the surrounding areas with a damp rag after using bleach. Why do I get Bleach spots on some clothes when I don't use bleach in my front load washer?

Pentagon Paid $999,798 to Ship Two 19-Cent Washers to Texas?

Aug. 16 (Bloomberg) -- A small South Carolina parts supplier collected about $20.5 million over six years from the Pentagon for fraudulent shipping costs, including $998,798 for sending two 19-cent washers to a Texas base, U.S. officials said.

The company also billed and was paid $455,009 to ship three machine screws costing $1.31 each to Marines in Habbaniyah, Iraq, and $293,451 to ship an 89-cent split washer to Patrick Air Force Base in Cape Canaveral, Florida, Pentagon records show.

Question - What are your thoughts ?Pentagon Paid $999,798 to Ship Two 19-Cent Washers to Texas?
Another Government agency who missed the Oversight part. The GAO I have been complaining about when people want more government in their life, like nationalized health care. Why didn't the Government Accounting Office catch this long before it got to millions?Pentagon Paid $999,798 to Ship Two 19-Cent Washers to Texas?
It's true, but they were REALLY GOOD washers!
Probably a friend of the Dems. Wait and see.
Sorry to answer a question with a question, but can the Pentagon be liable for this fraud as well?
.... those things better have been made of pure plutonium lol.

but seriously.. if those numbers are correct.. that's pretty sad.
yeah I caught this in the paper this AM.

Glad they caught those crooks and will start to liquidate their assets to recover as much of the money as possible.
They should be sued AND the Pentagon overseer should be fired. Watch nothing happens to either one. Yet if I walk into a bank and steal a million dollars, I'd have a SWAT team sniper's red dot on my forhead.
