I have a repair question about washer that's less than a year old?

I have a Frigidaire top loading washing machine that is less than a year old. It's been working fine and now all of a sudden, no matter what size load I do it doesn't spin all the water out and I have to manually reset every load to spin it down one more cycle. Before I spend $100 on a service call, does anyone have any suggestions for me?I have a repair question about washer that's less than a year old?
If it's less than a year old, you should still be under warranty, unless you were not the original purchaser (and even then, some mfrs will honor a warranty to one new owner).

If you're the purchaser, contact the store where you purchased and ask about the maintenance/service terms (don't let them sell you a service agreement - those are usually a waste of money unless you read them carefully).

If the store is no help, contact Frigidaire directly. Their website may have a list of known problems, and it's possible there was a recall for the problem you're describing. Also, they may describe your problem and how to fix it yourself.

Good luck!

If your washer USED to do a good job of spinning out the wash and rinse waters, and you haven't greatly increased the loadings; I would think that the serpentine belt that makes everything work has stretched -- maybe to the point of being just before *breaking*. There IS an automatic 'tension-er pulley' to adjust for stretching of the belt, but it may be at its outer limit.

I suggest that you call in a reliable, recommended washer repair person to check out your machine, before it just might QUIT working at all -- having a broken serpentine belt.
You're using too much detergent. Cut down to about 1/2 of the amount specified on the detergent label.
Reduce or use HE detergent. Too much suds will not allow the pump to expel all of the water.
have you cleaned the tub drain?? how about checking the discharge hose??
